Ok...so I'm not much of a blogger but we'll see how this goes.
We've made it through a few weeks of school and James my almost 12 yr old (OK...How did THAT happen...It cannot be possible that I'm old enough to have a child in Jr High)...ok...panic over! So James, my 6th grader is doing well in school...perfect...Far from it but he's doing ok. If we can remember to bring everything home then I think we'll have fought the biggest battles. I'm not sure (and I don't think he is sure either) where is planner is....GRRRR....
Hal my baby - my 9 yr old 4th grader has NEVER been good in school...never enjoyed it and has given me the most insane headaches because of school is REALLY excelling this year so far. I know it's only a few weeks in but the child is truly reading now...and this is a HUGE step in the right direction. Hal has always struggled with reading and that has translated to struggles in other areas. Of course he's not reading at a 4th grade level yet but I'm enjoying hearing him read a sentance now and not just read word by word. It's so cute when he reads a sentance and then he giggles becuase it wa funny. He wouldn't have done that last year becuase it was only reading words...now the words have some meaning and he's actually enjoying it :)
I am so excited...Celebration choir at Harvest started back up again last night. We are doing some really fun stuff this year...but also doing some really challenging music. I'm excited to get into the music and start working agian. I love summer but I do miss the choir when we break for the summer.
Fall has brought much cooler temperatures for which I'm truly truly thankful, the start of school, and choir practice. I think I like fall a lot!!!
So I have no idea what I'm doing here but I hope your day is blessed beyond measure and that you hide God's word in your heart.
Here is my verse for the week:
"I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth." 3 John 4
